1. I'm a bar manager. My skills are good customer service skills, being able to handle high levels of volume, and management. I see this business benefiting anyone who can't manage their money efficiently.
2. I'm offering a service that could help people pay their bills and save money as well.
3. This app would be for high school, college students, service industry employees, and pretty much anyone who needs an extra hand.
4. They care because in this day and age money keeps you on your feet. By being able to pay your bills and keep a roof over your head, you can survive.
5. Like I said in my previous post, I have learned to pay my bills and save money although I don't have a set pay. I am able to afford things I would've never thought I could working in the service industry.
I only got one feedback from Justin that I could use to tweak my napkin idea. He stated that this could also be used for just about anyone who needed to learn how to budget. If anyone else has suggestions please shoot them my way!
Melanie,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on this post! I have seen your idea before and think it would be very helpful to anyone as Justin said. Maybe you could think of other careers with volatile pay or jobs that pay more in summer rather than winter (and vice versa). These type of jobs would be helpful to track for one year and then budget from there. Managers of a company with a seasonal type of product could use this too. Just an idea!
Cheers,
Margaret
Hey Melanie,
ReplyDeleteI saw your original Idea Napkin post and I liked the idea for an app that helps with budgeting. I know there are some apps that do similar services such as Mint, but you could always look at these other companies and see not only what they're doing, but what they aren't doing, then try to find ways in which your company can cover those gaps.
Hi Melanie,
ReplyDeleteIt is great to have skills that can keep you on your feet at all times. This enables you to be proactive in almost every situation and is a great skill to have in the professional world. I absolutely love your idea. It helps young adults as well as older stay on top of their finances. No one likes the idea of living paycheck to paycheck. Taking advantage of your app enables people to spend somewhat freely.
Hey Melanie,
ReplyDeleteI was talking to my friend the other day who works at Chili's as a part time job in college. She was talking about the people that worked there and how some of them depend on that income to support their family, and I thought of your opportunity idea. I think a lot of people could benefit from this. You could improve your app by allowing user to personalize the items they spend money on since most people are different. For example i'd need to budget for eating out, weekend activities, nails, tanning, gas, and groceries, while other people' expenses might include rent, utilities, and pets.
