1.) In the beginning I didn't realize the assignments were due different days of the week. So, a behavior which I acquired was planning each assignment with my work schedule.
2.) I haven't gotten to the point of giving up yet. The only place I have felt like this somewhat is when I couldn't complete all of the assignments for the week. Since the extra credit are only available for a day, I have taken off of work early to try and get these completed to make up for the assignments missed.
3.) Three tips I would give next semesters students would include time management, get involved with people for the assignments, and do not stress. After reading some of the assignments, I found myself with a lot of anxiety. These grades are based off of ourselves so although that might seem convenient, sometimes it's more stressful knowing you can only do so much.
Hi Melanie,
ReplyDeleteI'm with you when it comes to getting anxiety after I read the assignment. Specifically the ones where I need to interview 5 people. I recently watched this Ted Talk called "Inside the mind of a procrastinator," It was funny but really taught me a lot about myself with deadline situations. I recommend watching it, I think it will help with your anxiety.
Hi, this is the second Halfway point post ive seen and the tip "Time management" was on the other post. I agree with this so much because its one of the toughest parts about this class and everything in life. I guess thats good because it does prepare you for the future. Also planning ahead is always good too as you realized that at the beginning.
ReplyDeleteHey Melanie,
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to your anxiety when thinking about completing all of the assignments that are due every week. It is not structured like any other online class I have ever taken. I also feel like it is more stressful to have to be your own critic and to grade yourself.
